Event: Seven Sisters Alumnae Seminar (October 21st, 2009)
Poverty Initiative's Onleilove Alston will be a featured speakers at the October 21st 30th Annual Alumnae Seminar in Stamford, CT. A committee of alumnae from the original Seven Sister Colleges, recently joined by the local chapter of the American Association of University Women, has sponsored the Alumnae Seminar annually for 29 consecutive years. Onleilove will speak to this year's theme of "Hope in Anxious Times: Exploring New Dimensions of Poverty in America" along with three other panelists including Dr. John O. Fox: (Visiting Professor at Mount Holyoke College), Dr. Shirley Johnson-Lans (Professor and Chair of Economics Department at Vassar College) and Stamford Mayor Dannel P. Malloy.
