aboutAs we enter the 21st Century, we are facing a devastating and rapidly increasing polarization of the rich and the poor. It is arguably the defining social issue of our time. The Poverty Initiative believes that it is possible to end poverty – not merely manage it – and that it is not only our moral imperative to do so, but also our theological and spiritual calling, journey, and struggle. The mission of the Poverty Initiative is to “raise generations of religious and community leaders committed to building a movement, led by the poor, to end poverty.” |
